I founded Reynolds Landscape and Pools in 1999 and since then it has served as the landscape design firm of choice for family homes around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Our team of design, construction, and maintenance experts have been working together since the founding of the company to plan uniquely crafted, tastefully executed, and expertly maintained home exteriors.

Carl established his company around the principle of end-to-end, personalized service. Reynolds Landscape and Pools believes that the relationship between a landscape architecture firm and their clients doesn’t stop after design and installation is complete–it begins there. Carl and his crew take pride in the stewardship of your home’s outdoor living space, nurturing your landscape throughout its lifespan via an individualized maintenance plan.
PrincipleDesigner
Carl holds a Landscape Architecture degree from Kansas State University. However, he quickly made his way to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and has been master planning homes in the area for over 20 years. After working for one commercial firm and two prominent residential design-build firms, Carl ventured out on his own in 1999 and has been serving a faithful clientele ever since.

In the fall, we found ourselves with overgrown flowerbeds and two dead trees. Carl spent the time to show us a selection of trees and new plants that would work best for our existing beds. After we picked out our new trees and plants, he sent his crew over to do the installation and cleanup. His crew was great! Not only did they show up right on time, but they stayed until I was 100% satisfied with the work in the beds. I received MANY complements from our neighbors afterwards. The truth about Landscape & Pool Design
Cutting grass too short actually harms the grass and allows weeds to flourish. It’s a shock to the system of the plant and risks exposing the roots to damaging amounts of sunlight. The correct length varies by grass type, so do some research (or call us). Please don’t just set your mower on the lowest setting and get to work. You’ll regret it!
Some landscaping jobs (especially maintenance) can certainly be done by a non-professional. But do you have the time and knowledge to do it well? Superior landscaping can increase the value of your home by as much as 10-15%, so it’s important to get it right.
Trees are a great addition to any landscaping project but it’s not just about looks. Trees have a significant cooling effect on your yard and your home. That means that they look great and save you money.

Aeration helps remove excess thatch, which is a buildup of dead grass that can harbor insects and disease. Aeration also helps roots to grow more deeply and allows water and nutrients a direct path to the root zone.
When you water by hand you usually do it a random and not on a regular schedule. So a timed sprinkler system will generally use less water and allow you to customize your watering program based on factors like sun exposure. Plus, it lets you live your life freely, without worrying about getting home from vacation early to water the lawn.
Most shrubs and trees should be planted in either Spring or Fall. With perennial flowering plants, Spring is your best option but late summer and early fall are also fine.
